Accommodating Senior Residential Community

The Henton is a senior community adjacent to the campus of Elon University. It is home to more than 55 residents and widely known for being one of the first retirement communities in the United States.

The Henton was created and developed by the owners of Blakey Hall and The Hamlet. The residents of The Henton are from Elon, NC and a number of different states. Some are retirees while others are seniors who have a job.

Excellent Opportunities for Delightful Activities

What sets The Henton apart is that it is situated within walking distance of Elon University. Because of this, the residents can take advantage of the academic, athletic, and cultural activities available at the institution.

Owners also have access to the fine arts center, where they can enjoy all types of musical plays, talks, and other art-centric activities.

In addition to that, the safety and security of a small, college town is preferred by older people. Residents genuinely enjoy this beautiful neighborhood and its quiet and peaceful surroundings.

A Living Environment That Grows With You

The Henton is comprised of 40 single-family homes that are designed to “work” for people as they age. Residents, mostly working retirees and empty nesters, own their homes and have free access to common areas. On top of that, maintenance of the grounds is managed by a homeowners’ association. Residents pay a reasonable monthly fee for this convenient service.

If you are interested in the Henton please contact a local real estate broker. The Henton is governed by its own bylaws, declaration of covenants, conditions, and restrictions.
